The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
4.0
If there is one book that I love above almost all others it’s Jane Eyre. So I’m always game to find a retelling. I like that the author keeps many of the original names and some key features of the original factors.
I love that Jane in this book is also extremely intelligent and does what she has to do to survive. I also really enjoyed that the mystery was on par with the original Jane Eyre, which I wouldn’t call a thriller (definitely wouldn’t call this book a thriller either), but it was well done over all.
It was a fun read for sure!
