Not quite as addictive as magnolia parks but Jessa Hastings has some sort of secret sauce in her books. I never can stay up late reading a book and I literally could not make myself go to bed with the last 30% of my book. These characters are seriously messed up morally gray people and yet I am so invested? I think I hate them but I love to read the mess they’re making. I highlight and tab these books like no other. Her metaphors just get me every time.
Overall takeaways: this book is about bad people doing bad toxic things - it’s entertaining af but do not read if you are going to be annoyed by that lol
