The Best Laid Plans by Cameron Lund
3.0

"Love is when your weirdness matches up with someone else's weirdness."

The Best Laid Plans is a great YA contemporary debut! It was VERY high school but in a good way? The characters made dumb choices at times and were so clueless about other people's feelings that I wanted to scream at them! However, them acting that way is a very realistic representation of a high school student, or at least I know I acted that way when I think back to that time. This book was full of drama but I ate it up. I finished it in two sittings if that says anything.

The friends to lovers romance was sweet but we didn't get enough of it! I would have loved more of Andrew and Keely than stupid James Dean. (I hated him btw. Like really really much so dislike this dude.) The friend groups were great, especially because I had a similar friend group whenever I was in high school, especially someone like Danielle.

Overall, this wasn't a fave but I did enjoy it! I'll definitely be checking out more from Lund in the future. I def recommend if you like friends to lovers romance, miscommunication trope, pizza and old movies!
