Force Collector by Kevin Shinick

3.0

What I liked about this is it continues the feeling that I got from The Last Jedi. It left me thinking the idea that "not everyone's a hero" and "not every hero is from a famous family". Of course ROS shattered that but Force Collector keeps it on life support with Karr. My gripe with this novel is Karr feels a lot like a Forrest Gump. He just happens to encounter important people and places by chance? Or maybe the force I suppose, and maybe that's the point. Overall though it was an enjoyable story and I wouldn't mind seeing Karr again in the future should some post sequel content be created. Perhaps as a Jocasta Nu type scholar of a New Jedi Order.
