I was so happy reading this book. It's joyful, but doesn't shy away from sadness and the tragedies of everyday life, especially in the world of wildlife. This book does not stray away from death. The narration reminded my of CS Lewis sometimes, the way the author will sometimes address the reader directly, which was very endearing. There was also plenty of advturous scene. I really enjoyed this and I'm glad I read it before watching the movie.
