Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks

This one was conflicting to rate. I think the overall messages in this book are really lovely and important. I just didn't have as much fun as I wanted to? And yes, I find grief romances really enjoyable. I love the connection, trust, and friendship that gets built between the characters. I didn't really FEEL it. I can see why people like it though.

In defense of Lark's character, I think the message around women sometimes being positive in a toxic way that leads them to avoid conflict & suppress growth that is required to build self-trust is REALLY realistic and so important right now. It's not fun to read about. Definitely not fun to think about, but is absolutely a relevant and important life lesson. Justice for the women who stand up for themselves with shaky knees and cracked voices. We all had to start somewhere!!
