Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

5.0

The first page of the book had an introduction on Emily Bronte. It said that the book was described by some as a work of fiction that could have been written only by a man. I don't know what to say. It has literally made me speechless.
This book can be only defined as intricate. Intricate in the way old homes with designed wallpaper, wooden cabinets, bright colors, carpets, curtains and bedspreads are intricate compared to the aesthetic and sleek modern look of present homes. Every minute detail, expression, the relationships, events have been crafted so well that it doesn't feel like fiction. How can someone build a world so real and so finely detailed? Everything was talked about and shared like someone sharing their own private history.
It is going to be a book I come back to often. It is just so peaceful and beautiful. Catherine's nature was relatable more than I would like to admit. I guess it's the same being a young girl in any period or country. The depth of this book is unparalleled to any book I have ever read. This book is a Classic. It deserves the tag. A book that I would never regret reading and always put in my top favorites. The chaos of the book felt like home. So it was peace.
Loved it. Highly recommend.
