Queen of Ruin: The Grace and Fury Series #02
by Tracy Banghart
The first book didn't necessarily blow me away but I did enjoy it. I was looking forward to how the story would resolve and excited that it was a duology because I could finish a series - go me!
This story starts off right where the last one ended with little recap. I didn't read the first one too long ago so I did remember a good bit and I also refreshed my memory with a recap online (mostly for names!). I listened to this one on audio and I felt like it went by so quickly but not necessarily in a good way. I felt like the events didn't really build up as much as they could have and then all of a sudden the big event happened and it felt kind of anticlimactic. I didn't feel as connected to the characters as I did in the first book.
