I was hooked and influenced to immediately read this book. It didn't take much because I love Corrine, but something about this story had me from the get-go. Asher is a sherrif in A Town called Sigarloaf. The protector of the town and the oldest in the Whitlock family. His amazing daughter olivia is 9 and was born deaf. His ex Sarah was always just friends and she has to leave for 5 months due to a job. They have to have a nanny that signs, and at the last minute, the agency can not place one, his boss and chief of police say his daughter can do it home from.grad school and going to be an audiologist. There is a past of a nanyaitting incident qith Olivia was little that has him hesitating but he has no choice. I loce Asher he is grumpy, loves his daughter and his family. Pheobe has always been the chief daughter and is running from a scandal. The tension, the way Olivia and pheobe are together, was so good. They way she incorporates signing in the bock made so happy. They are immediately fighting the attraction and know that they are both very off limits. They are some plot twist j did not see coming. Loved the Whitlock family. This is going to be a great series.
