I am disappointed with this book and it saddens me to give this book such a low rating. From the start this did not manage to grip me like Pride & Prejudice and in my opinion none of the main characters here were as strong as the main duo of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. Admittedly this is Austen’s first published work so this is understandable. Still while I had come to an understanding that this was just an okay book, the ending however just made me so angry and I was like “Really?”. Just a disappointing read that by the halfway point I just wanted to end. The writing style and prose was excellent as expected from Jane Austen.
