I enjoyed the story, and it was an interesting world. The teenaged heroine is dealing with loss on multiple fronts - deaths of her beloved younger brother and grandfather, a friendship that has become more distant (literally) after her move, and disconnection from her not-so-healthily-grieving parents. And all her current relationships are made more awkward and difficult by the secrecy inherent in her profession as well as her extraordinary sensitivity to touch. To that mix, the author adds mystery/intrigue and thriller elements, as well as certain romantic complications.
