Luca by Nikki J. Summers

3.0

⚠️TRIGGER WARNINGS⚠️ this book has them in spades man.

Chloe has Loved Luca since he moved in to the house next door with his brother. Luca has always loved Chloe but refused to act on it. The one night Luca and Freddie just disappeared, taking Chloe's heart with them.
In the present day Chloe will do anything to see her dreams become reality, but when Freddie spots her in a strip club he kidnaps her and demands Luca saves and protects her from the sex trafficker she was unknowingly working for.

I loved the story concept and how strong willed Chloe was all though at times I really just wanted to scream at her. And Luca hell, some of those sense are just 🔥🔥🔥 he knows how to rock being the head of what I'm assuming is a fresh Mafia organization, (this is never clarified) but like all alphaholes, Luca has a massive downfall, he refused to fight for Chloe. Yes he risked his life to save her, but he took an army for one and for two she spotted him in a club with his new "girlfriend" maybe a month later, wheres the groveling and the apologies and the deceleration of undying love ya know, before the new "girlfriend"

It is for this reason the Luca as a whole scored lower than I wanted it too,
I felt like this could have been split into a duet. But thats probably just me wanting more Chloe and Luca.

Nikki Summers is new to me, but I gotta say I'll be checking out her other work too.
