The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens

4.0

Dickens's characteristic hyperbolic wit shines through in his first novel. 'Pickwick''s structure is disjointed, and some characters weave in and out of the story without reason, but the language found in this tale is solid gold. A few of the scenes are laugh-out-loud funny, and the characters - especially Sam, Mr. Weller Sr., and the "Fat Boy" - will stick in your mind forever. I highly recommend this book to all Dickens fans.
