This book has been in my Kindle library for over a year now, and I regret not making the time for it sooner.

Helfyre is a dark and violent romance between two immortals. It's spicy, and the lust is instant.

Aheia is running from a cruel life that led to her mother's death. She's fully aware that she is trading one monster for another. At least the demon she seeks refuge from doesn't pretend he is anything but a demon. As she makes her way to the border of Aljira, trailed by a deadly creature, she is left with two options: trade her soul to Arioch to enter the city or turn back to take her chances with the varcolac.

When Aheia's soul transferred to Arioch's body it left a tattoo on his skin. Whenever he would rub his fingers across the tattoo, Aheia could feel it. That's where Aheia's need for Arioch started and she hated herself for it. I loved the anticipation of being touched without Arioch touching her which is also why I love his shadow magyck. Arioch was not opposed to using his shadows on and in Aheia.

Multiple POV is my favorite. Not only do we have Aheia and Arioch's POV, but also a few of Arioch's Nephilim. I think the significance of the chapters will not be fully appreciated until book two, however, we learn why they are loyal to Arioch while disagreeing with Aheia's presence in Aljira.

The book ended on a cliffhanger and I will be picking up Honey asap because I need to know how this story ends.
