Doctor Who: The American Adventures
by Various
I received an electronic ARC of this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
I like the Twelfth Doctor and so was excited to get a chance to read this book. A companionless Doctor appearing in the US six different times and places. From the Old West to a Disney World type theme park in 2017, the Doctor does what he does best, confounds the plans of those up to no good.
It was a quick, fun read. The stories were fast paced and although there were no new insights into this incarnation of the Doctor, there was a lot of action. Heck, it might even make a good introduction to the Whoniverse for those who haven't been there yet. The Doctor is left as a mysterious figure who shows up, fixes whatever is going wrong, and leaves just as quickly and quietly. The attogance and intelligence, as well as the impatient grumpiness comes through clearly.
I would recommend this for others to read.
