I really like the more mystery-novel feeling way that the conclusion was revealed. Like it was very drawn out and didn't have a sort of traditional escalation in stakes but instead I knew I desired a good ending and I was skeptical we could get there artfully but gradually elements were revealed and very clearly ties back to previous developments and I thought that was very clever. I did find the beginning where the lovers are so out of touch with each other and refusing to communicate to be a big annoying but it helped with the character growth over time and I came to appreciate it, even if I didn't like it much at the time.
