Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Marie McLemore

Did not finish book.
TW *incomplete*: racism, blood, use of the slur g*psy, violence, death

❝ It is as though, all her life, she was held together with a little bit of the stars, and now that part of her has been spooled away.

DNF 30% through | This book was utterly beautiful but it’s just not what I felt like reading as of this moment, and I felt like it was putting me in a slump. The prose is delightful, as are the characters, but the plot just could not grip me and the pacing felt far too slow. Alas, I’d still highly recommend this for those of you who prefer to read more lyrical and slower-paced stories. I’m certain you’d find this a delight.
