As a reader, I found the plot of this book to be disjointed and filled with numerous twists that were difficult to follow at times. The characters, especially the main male character (MMC), exhibited unusual behavior and were grappling with childhood trauma. Even though the book was written from the perspective of both the main female character (MFC) and the MMC, I struggled to understand their motivations and actions at certain points in the story. While I usually appreciate a bit of mystery in a book, I did find myself frustrated by the lack of insight into the characters' thoughts and feelings. However, the alternating perspectives added an element of suspense and provided some insight into both characters' thoughts which was probably necessary to like the MMC.
Ultimately, I was a little disappointed by the MMC's lack of personal growth in terms of his ethical values.

Despite this, I enjoyed the book and plan to read other books in this series. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable read and would recommend this book to anyone who likes smut and morally grey characters.
