salt slow by Julia Armfield

Armfield is an incredible writer. She excels at a simultaneous evocation of creepiness and dreaminess. In the realm of salt slow, a young woman transforms into a bug, a city suffers from an epidemic of insomnia, a boyfriend turns into stone, a divorcee hides out on the seaside.

If you don't already know, I love weird and unsettling short story collections. This is one of the best I have read in recent months! I can't wait to revisit salt slow again.
