4-4.5 ⭐️ Audiobook - narration was good.
Story of a middle aged woman trying to balance the challenges of being a mother + wife + whole person, separate from either of those roles. Her life upends when she runs into an old friend at the grocery store that she has not seen in almost 20 years + that encounter brings up lies from her past that she’s been trying to keep pushed below the surface for decades.
It was an engaging story, although some parts seemed to drag on (it was an 18 hr audiobook). The ending of the novel was perfection though + had me
