Every time I read a Fredrik Backman book, I’m blown away anew by his ability to craft characters. His writing wrings me out emotionally every time, full of joy and sadness but mostly that bittersweet poignancy in the middle of the two. This was no exception. Such a sweet and beautiful story about a family navigating dementia.
