Bring Me Back by Kristen Granata
4.0

I needed a bingeable, spicy read and Kristen Granata delivered. We follow suicide survivor Phoenix as she starts her life over and ends up next door to hot, brooding cop James (and the rest of the Russo boys). Honestly, one of my favorite characters was James' little brother, Leo. I felt like the entire Russo family had weathered a decent amount of hardship and Phoenix moving next door was one of the best things for them.

I finished the book in less than 24 hours. The short chapters and the SPICE made it a page turner. There was some pretty great banter in this book--- the opening scene when Phoenix meets James had me laughing out loud. I also absolutely love a good puppy story. The book overall deals with some pretty heavy stuff, but I feel like Kristen Granata made it easy to consume and left you filled with hope. The best type of book does that.

FINAL THOUGHTS: This was a spicy, fun, deep and emotional read without dragging on. I always love a book that covers mental health issues in such a personal way, yet makes it relatable to everyone reading it. If you need a quick read with all the steam I encourage you to pick this one up. It is beautiful and pulls at the heart strings.
