Twisted Pride
by Cora Reilly
When I started this series, I held so much anticipation for this book because Remo Falcone in the other books was *chef's kiss*, and suffice to say that the book gave me more than I hoped for. Remo and Serafina found a place in my heart; I don’t think they’d give it back. With a dash of enemies-to-lovers and a touch of Stockholm Syndrome, their journey mesmerized me.
Although Remo had a black, broken heart, I loved the way he showed his love for Serafina. I loved their banter, and man, I loved Serafina so much! She wasn’t just a damsel in distress “kidnapped girl,” but instead, we got the literal match to our devil. I loved the opposites:
She’s light, he’s dark
She’s spicy, he’s kinky
She’s pure, he’s dirty
She’s love, he’s hate
I’ve just started my journey with Cora’s books, and this book is really my favorite of hers.
