The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict
3.0

Rounding up to 3.5.

Told from the perspective of three of the 6 Mitford sisters, actual British society ladies with ties through marriage to Winston Churchill during the years before and during WWII.

Nancy the eldest is the author of witty, lightly veiled novels depicting political events.
Diana, the beautiful sister who leaves her high society marriage for an open affair with Oswald Mosely, the leader of the British fascists.
Unity, always a bit "peculiar" who is obsessed with Hitler.

The book was well written and interesting but seemed to drag in the middle. At one point I though it would never end. I also found several editing errors which always disappoints me when reading.

Overall, it was a worthwhile read, if only to learn a bit about this intriguing family.
