Blyss by J.C. Cliff
4.0
I gave this book a 3.5 star rating. Honestly this is pretty high for this type of book. I really am not a huge fun of dark, Stockholm type reads.
"I shudder at the thought of becoming a mindless robot, being used for my body, them violating me in ways that would surely crush my spirit." - This quote was the absolute epitome of why I do not enjoy these types of reads. With that being said, the author really does bring you to a dark, hopeless place.
There did seem to be a lot of research put into this book and I loved the creativity of Blyss. The author did a phenomenal job taking you along with the ups and downs of the story. I was torn to continue this book around chapter 5 when I figured out what was going on. I am not usually one to have any DNF books on my shelves, so I kept on reading. I am curious to see what will happen next, but I just don't think my mindset right now is ready to continue.
