I remember reading this for English 20-1, and I hated this book with a passion. I think it was because of the pacing, the characters, and the very fact that I could care less about the outcome. I just wasn't into his book, and so being forced to read it, analyze the crap out of it, and beat it until it died hardly helped me like this novel.
I won't recommend it. But, I feel like one has to attribute the fact that the more you beat somebody over the head with a book, the more they are going to resist it. And that was my case. Perhaps in different circumstances, I would have enjoyed it. Oh well.
