this was such a beautifully written story. There are two parts to this January’s love with Gus and her complicated relationship with her father.
I think January is such a wonderful, kind-hearted complex realistic character, and I saw a lot of my self in her and I think that’s what made this book hit harder. Gus is the perfect man for January. The way he was written is so sad and layered and complicated and I need him. His insecurities and the way they were peeled back is really stunning to read. I love the way Emily Henry wrote them. I love the way Emily Henry wrote Gus. I just I can’t get enough. I want to read 70 more books about this couple.
January and her father have such a special relationship reading their interactions, cut me deep in my heart I literally am getting choked up just thinking about it. I I think the way in Emily Henry wrote this relationship and how her father kind of explains himself is so heartbreaking. I wish I wish I could make my dad read the lettered.
The way that January was loved by Her father hurts me to my soul, but in like a good way.
I just I can’t even think right now I just love this book so fucking much I’m going to be thinking about it for a very long way, while now generally has become my new favorite romance novel of all time.
