No Easy Way Out
by Dayna Lorentz
Having read No Safety in Numbers last summer, I was expecting to get little enjoyment to no out of its sequel No Easy Way Out, since I kept thinking it was going to be nothing but filler which was what its predecessor was.
I was pleasantly surprised when I wasn't bored out of my mind while I was reading it. There was a lot more action and actual details that added to the plot, even some character development. I was growing attached to some characters!
That being said, other characters made me want to scream. Ryan and Shay could burn to death on a stake and I wouldn't care in the least. All they think about is each other! And Shay does some questionable actions in the book that are never explained like
I pretty much loved everyone else. I didn't like Marco at all in No Safety in Numbers and through half of this book but he really grew on me the last 200 pages. Lexi is my favorite character, mostly because she has hardly anything to do with the other main characters and her POV has to do more with talk of the mall situation and not "where am I gonna find some more alcohol?"
Dayna Lorentz really improved the story in this second novel. I wasn't even sure I was going to pick it up but I'm so glad I did. And what do ya know? I'm pumped for the third book!
