When I Should've Stayed by Max Monroe

5.0

Oh, guys, where do I even begin? This is the follow up to the end of What I should’ve said. So READ IT first if you haven’t. I cried a lot less in the first half, the second half I am surprised I didn’t cry myself to sleep. It was a little confusing going back and forth in the story between the timelines jumping back and forth, We see several different times. When they were first together, their pov from the time in What I should’ve said, and the present after What I should’ve said. I actually liked their POV from What I Should’ve Said. I loved how Clay never gave up, especially after finding out why she tried to divorce him. He had no clue, but I think deep down he knew something larger happened. There never was a time where I thought either of them fell out of love. It was clear Josie was just hurting SO bad. I do wish I heard more of Clay’s POV. It did take a long time for them to get back to where they were, but it was explosive once it happened. I love these two together, and I can honestly say, they were truly meant to be and Clay was right waiting all along. Even if I thought it was a little wrong in some ways that he never filed the papers. I cannot wait to see them in person next week! PS: Toddler Summer was even cuter then Summer in What I should’ve stayed.
