booklandish 's review for:
The Kingdoms
by Natasha Pulley
And just like that...I fall in love with a book. This is going to be very vague because I feel like knowing ANYTHING about this book is a spoiler. But here are a few impressions: Pulley's writing is stunning; I apparently love everything featuring a lighthouse, and this was very intellectually stimulating. This is brilliant speculative fiction, where the speculative element (and you shouldn't try to find out what it is) serves to tell a beautiful story about people.
