this was very enjoyable! i liked it a lot more than her last book, under loch and key, but less than i liked her first book, the nanny. i’m very happy with an “in-between” book from lana because the the banter in this was immaculate. it just didn’t have that extra oomf to make me feel connected to the characters, which is why i gave this less than 4 stars.
