Three Act Tragedy
by Agatha Christie
*4.5 because the ending was spectacular.
Three Act Tragedy by Agatha Christie is such an interesting Hercule Poirot mystery because Poirot himself is missing for about a third of the novel. Instead of following Poirot work to solve the mysterious murder of vicar Steven Babbington, readers follow Sir Charles Cartwright, his friend Mr. Satterwaithe and Sir Charles' young love interest Egg Lyton Gore. If you've read the book then you know this is a particularly interesting move considering who the murderer is.
I loved how Poirot explained everything at the end of the novel. It's one of my favourite reveals in the whole Poirot cannon.
