I have never rated a Meg Cabot book this low. Her books are like comfort food to me. But this was...something. There wasn’t really much that pulled me into this story, and I found it very to care about the romance, the hurricane, or the pet rescue angle. There was a lot of subplots that never really got fleshed out and then they were all kind of thrown into the last few chapters for the resolution.
