The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by Cat Sebastian

4.5 stars in reality.

Oh my god, it didn’t even occur to me until I saw Akiva’s review of The Queer Principles of Kit Webb that this is a ROBIN HOOD AND MAID MARIAN REDUX, LOL. But it was an enjoyable one, that’s for sure! Cat Sebastian’s anti-wealth, anti-landlord, anti-aristocracy bent shines through in this one, and I appreciated that Robb was never like, “Okay, I can be a GOOD Duke unlike Marian’s shitty abusive husband / Percy’s shitty abusive dad.”

The chemistry between Robb and Marian is EXCELLENT, and I love how head-over-heels Robb was for Marian. At times things felt like they were moving a liiiittle fast, especially the ending, but overall this was another excellent Cat Sebastian read. Truly everything she does is such a treat.
