I thought, nearing the end, 'Chill, the worst has passed.' Definitely NOT. She did it again—and after seven Maas books, I really should’ve known xD
The beginning felt a bit slow for me until a certain point, and then it suddenly felt like the story really began. I flew through the ending, it was so tense and gripping (and exciting!).
Maas is clearly setting things up for something bigger in the next books, I can feel it! I’m so excited… but first, I need to go back in time and read Assassin’s Blade (and probably cry) :)
