Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson
3.0
Thank goodness this came together (a bit) in the end because I was getting worried about whether I'd be able to push through this series. The beginning felt very jumpy. The different scenes didn't seem to stick together. I acknowledge being somewhat scatterbrained at the time I read this, but I don't think it was all me. As often happens with Sanderson's more humourous books, the humour didn't mesh with me. It made the story feel even less realistic, which is not what I want from a fantasy book, especially Sanderson!
