Lord John and the Private Matter by Diana Gabaldon

Meh. I don't know what to make of this one.

I love LJG, and I loved hearing his inner monologue... But the plot of this one was strange. It was confusing, but I knew if I kept reading it would all make sense in the end. And it did, for the most part. The issue was: how we got there.

One of the characters ends up explaining most of the murder mystery/plot at the end; it wasn't exactly unraveled by John Grey. He picks up some clues, and he is extremely brave, but he doesn't actually solve anything?
