Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney

My thoughts in a nutshell

I have heard and read a lot of positive things about this book recently. I've never read anything by Alice Feeney before.
I started reading it with an open mind and excitement, but by the end I realised it wasn't working for me.
There were some particularly strong moments in the book, such as the atmosphere. I thought the author did a great job of making us feel the winter cold.
I liked the main twist in the book. I wouldn't have thought of it at all.
I didn't like the characters. I found a lot of illogical things in the story that bothered me. I kept thinking about them, while passing important passages that I had to reread. I don't like it when I have to read a chapter several times to fully understand it.
To be honest, I still haven't found the answers to a few things and it bothers me.
I feel like the end of the book was rushed. I don't think the timing was right.

Apart from that, it was a pretty average thriller for me. I will read the author's other books.

I gave it 3 stars.
