This story was about Madeleine Astor, the second wife of Jack Astor. It was her story before she met Jack, the courting and then their very short marriage. They were on the Titantic on that fateful journey. It was her love story. She was a very young girl who fell in love with a man 30 years older than her. It was very descriptive and at times drawn out. I did enjoy the chapters on the Titantic. It was horrible reading about their last moments. She survived the Titantic and gave birth about 4 months later. It is fiction but felt like a memoir.
