An Assassin's Deception by Harper Wylde, A.K. Koonce

2.0

lmfao.. wait what?

An Assassin's Deception kind of fell into the dreaded second book slump. It was cute but, ugh, I have no idea what the hell happened. I feel like nothing really did. Yes, the smut and sex were freaking gold.. but everything else was just meh. Terrible even.

Now what sucks for me is that I actually like this group of people. The first book grabbed my attention and I was dying to dive into this one. However, it was such a let down and that disappoints me so freaking much. I did read through the other reviews and I heard that this series might have a third book in the works. I hope it does because I really want a redemption book.

I fell like nothing really happened in this book, whereas so much happened in the first book. Plus the characters grew more in the first one - not so much in this one. Again, such sadness. I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did.. but I just didn't and couldn't.

Overall, ugh, I seriously hope there's a book 3.
