This is powerful and emotional and it is hard to find the words to adequately write a review. It is such a difficult, but important read. At its core, this book is a beautifully written love letter to Syria, with vivid depictions that left me feeling emotional in so many ways. I laughed, I cried (multiple times), and somehow still felt hope by the end.
