Since I don't know much about Zelda Fitzgerald, I would say this book is a great introduction to her life both before and after she met the famous F. Scott. It's definitely inspired me to read more. However, the writing in the book had it's drawbacks. The pace varied; important events, like Scottie's birth, would be just a few paragraphs in length, while other aspects of the Fitzgerald life took up multiple pages. I feel a little more than unconvinced regarding the accuracy of the dialogue in the novel; since I don't have a large background in social language development, it makes it hard for me to make a legitimate criticism. However, I know anachronisms when I see them (were the words "stripper" and "feminist" used as often as they were in the book?), so those readers who are looking for a book about Zelda that is TO THE POINT, I wouldn't recommend this. But if you're looking for something that's not too dense (as most historical fiction novels are wont to be) and is an easy read about an interesting and infamous woman, you shouldn't be too disappointed.
