The Old Man and the Sea
by Ernest Hemingway
I personally believe that a book, to be considered beautiful, must be interesting, engaging, or at least it should leave something to the reader. Well, this book didn’t. I understand how innovative it could be for its time, and I found Hemingway’s writing very interesting (maybe the best part of the book). And I like the relationship between Santiago and the creatures pf the sea, too. But that’s it. I really tried to make myself like it, but even after reading tons of analysis and good comments about it, I simply can’t.
