WOW SPICY. Did not expect that, even with some spice from the other books, but this was different! I still enjoyed this book, but upon reflection, I may have wanted to see some more "cute" moments between Nesta and Cassian rather than just scenes from the bedroom. I also just felt there were big plot holes I didn't quite understand.

I began to love Nesta in A Court of Wings and Ruin - through her aloofness and meanness and all. Her character development in this one was truly right up my alley - she went from succumbing to her own demons and self-hatred to becoming one strong and resilient main character. I also enjoyed the more female-centric plot points in this book that the others really didn't have.

What I also didn't expect: to become annoyed with Rhys!!! He felt....way overprotective....like, I don't know...honestly.....Tamlin....like....style....yikes!

Overall, this was an interesting read, and I liked diving deeper into the conflict at hand in Prythian. I know we must wait a while for the next book, but I want to see where it goes. All I will say about my prediction though: Elain is meant for the Spring Court.
