I wasn't expecting Emily henry to be writing ya. I went in knowing nothing about the story, so I started out pretty confused. It was really gripping until maybe 80% of the way in. Didn't really enjoy the instalove going from zero to "I love you" so fast without much meaningful interaction. Also wasn't expecting the christian references along the text. Didn't vibe with the ending at all.
