Overall this was a very surprising and wonderful read. I had gone into it with little as far as expectations, however, it had me quickly ensnared. Blackwell very well may be in my top 5, perhaps even top 3, book boyfriends. He is sassy, charming, and oh so full of himself. But, he truly knows how to use his mouth. Ophelia is such a fun FMC to follow around, despite her inability to think before acting in dire situations. This is a story I will not be forgetting any time soon. I loved every last second of it, and perhaps I'm as mad as Ophelia because I will be dreaming for the chance that a sexy devil will come to sweep me away in a story of passion and fantasy and romance.
My only critique would be in regards to the ending. The last few chapters felt slightly rushed. Around the time I noticed I had about 40 pages left, I felt as though there could have been at least 60 pages instead.I wanted to hear more of her confession of love and adoration. I wanted them to seal their deal with one more extra spicy moment before the official wrap up and epilogue. I also feel as though perhaps, if this topic will not be revisited, that the King of Devils' plans could have been discovered by Ophie and Salem in their entirety. However, I would love for their story to be continued with a search involving them discovering that she is his lost lover, Angel, and the overthrowing of his father even. That could make for a fantastic story. But that's me being greedy and wanting more of Blackwell's wicked, pretty words from his deliciously expert mouth.
