This was for the UnDocuBook Club at work, and I feel like others' opinions are definitely influencing me here 😅 I personally thought that it was really interesting how she kind of mixed her own story into those of other "ordinary" undocumented immigrants. Although I do agree with the rest of the group that this combination in such a short book left me wanting more of each part, especially her own story. I know she shied away from that because she didn't want to tell another Dreamers story which is all anyone seemed to want from her, but I don't think her story would be a typical Dreamer story based on what she share in this one.
Regardless, I did learn a lot still, and it was extra interesting reading this book with several people who are or their parents are/were undocumented, that made this book hit so much harder.
