For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten

4.0

Am intriguing story with a good protagonist and interesting side characters. The plot and setting were original in their adaptations of classic fairy tales and the story was gripping. The romance was a satisfying slow burn and quite endearing. I was pulled into the story so much so that I would get annoyed at characters and stressed when things would take a turn, but also laugh when the partners bantered at one another.
I do however believe some elements could have been more deeply explored, such as Fife and Lyra, and the history and people of the town at the edge of the Wilderwood. Some of the world history was confusing to me at first and I also thought there were moments or ideas that could have been further developed.
Other than this, it was an enjoyable (albeit at times stressful) read. The writing was of a good caliber and the world was well built and explained (excluding the original confusion).

Warning: There is a sex scene. It is not graphic and there are no descriptions of explicit body parts or actions specifically, just nudity and kissing/touching before cutting off.
