I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman
4.5

I’ve never read a dystopian book like this one. As a reader, you are truly left in the dark and are unable to grasp any substantial facts about the world- much like the captive women. The themes were in constant juxtaposition, making an unexpected harmony. Loneliness vs being content, helplessness vs resourcefulness, sense of duty vs sense of self. This book isn’t for everyone, but I really enjoyed it.
