At the urging of her friends, Maddie joined a hook-up app to get herself out there for the first time in four years.  When her match arrives at the bar they agreed to meet at she is horrified to see that it is the town playboy, Tag Calloway.  She immediately ends the night but Tag can't seem to walk away.  He if drawn to her and then end up spending the night together . . . not that way but they both connected when they didn't expect or want to.

This one started off rocky and didn't really improve. While I wouldn't classify Tag as a grumpy hero, he is a douche and while he does commit and man up with Maddie and her daughter I never really warmed up to him at all.  Maddie and Gigi carried this story.  Maddie's past was heartbreaking but I loved how she didn't fall at Tag's feet like she needed him and made him work for her.  It was really fun to read but I didn't really feel their connection.  It felt like their relationship was a bit underdeveloped.  I enjoyed it enough but it didn't wow me as this author has in the past.
